About the event

Welcome to this first-of-its-kind event, DTech's Den! 

  • What is DTech's Den? 

A Dragon's Den style pitch competition on the theme of Sustainability & Tech.  

Also called Tech Innovation Entrepreneurship Challenge, this 6-days competition that enables teams of students to create an entrepreneurial project on this year's theme. It is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in the Business and IT fields! 

  • How does it work?
  1. Teams of students (3-5 students per teams) will be put in a challenge to showcase how their start-up may provide solutions that will innovate the society of tomorrow. The theme must be used by students to create innovative ideas that utilizes technology. Teams will have 4 days to create their startups/entrepreneurial projects.
  2. Following these 4 days, teams will present in-person their project to a panel of jury — the "Investors" — that will evaluate the pitches and select winners. 
  3. The event ends with an in-person Closing ceremony, in which the winners will be announced and a networking cocktail will follow. Refreshments will be provided.

  • What are the prizes? 

Many! We want to ensure your efforts are recognized. 

  1. A Pool Prize of 1,000 CAD to be distributed proportionally among the Top 3 winning teams.
  2. 5 certificates: Most Innovative, Most Creative, Best public speaking, Most money received, Greenest thumb.

Please note some teams could win a combination of prices, depending on judges' discretion. 

  • Who are the judges? 

The jury will be composed of industry experts in the entrepreneurship ecosystem, such as from Top world known incubators. Judges will be announced on our social media prior to the event. Make sure to follow our page! 

  • How do I register?

Get your tickets and fill out the forms indicated to participate! You can register individually, with a partial team or full team; we will match you with other event participants if your team is incomplete! Note that there are 3 to 5 participants per teams, and that space is limited.
